I spent the whole day at home today. It was nice to spend time with my family and not go into the office at all. We didn't do much, but I did watch 2 Disney movies. They were good. I am pretty adventurous. That's my idea of a pretty rowdy day.
Ava is doing well. She is asking a lot about when she will be able to walk. I think it's because she is closer to it than she has been since surgery. I held only one hand and walked beside her today as she walked across the house. Her strength and balance are for sure improving. It was a better day today since I got to spend it with the fam.
I have no great revelations or thoughts for today. I just know God is faithful and he gave me the gift of a great family day today.
God is with you and blessing you in every moment, so keep staying in the moments as you've been doing. Even the most difficult illness in someone we dearly love has a blessing we'll eventually understand. (I don't say this lightly, but share it from my own challenging experience.) My prayers are with Ava and you and your family every day!

ReplyDeleteI am so happy to hear about Ava's progress. She's going to be running around in no time. My dad recovered from two craniotomies so I have witnessed the recovery firsthand and all I can say is that the body that God created is miraculous in its ability to heal. Praise God for this healing power!

As my daughter (3 and a half) and I were praying for Ava and your family this evening, she randomly asked, "Does Ava have a pool?" and just moments later asked, "Where does her doctor live"? - Thought I would share these little questions because they brightened my spirit a bit in the midst of what was probably a way-to-somber prayer time. It reminded me of your post regarding that child-like faith. I told my daughter that Ava has great doctors here on earth that are God's special helpers, but her BIG Doctor is God. We're praising that Chief Physician for Ava's strength and recovery from the surgery and continuing to pray and wait in faith and expectation that He is movin' and groovin' in Ava's life and body.
