This is called a "rub"
This tree tells me there is a decent buck around. The bigger the tree that is shredded, generally the bigger the buck that shredded it. I know where this tree is and I am going to hunt near it again this year. This buck that did this should still be around. Maybe I will get to meet him in a couple weeks.
I have no other news to report today. I am pretty useless until I get to go hunt. Next week could be rough.
